For the 2024 festival, we will once again be printing a

collection of comics by local creators, as well as displaying them online.

Anyone who would like to make a submission is welcome, regardless of experience or skill levels. Submissions are due by May 7th. Comics will be formatted and printed by CCAF, with free copies debuting at the CCAF Expo on May 11th. Copies available for as long as supplies last.

Submission Details

  • Each submission may be no more than 2 pages.

  • There is no required theme or subject, comics may be about whatever you like.   However, content must be all ages appropriate, and should not include inflammatory remarks. In addition, it may not include any characters or properties that you do not possess the copyright for. CCAF reserves the right to abstain from printing anything that may violate these guidelines.

  • Art may be oriented landscape or portrait, but the collection will be printed portrait,   with 5.5"x8.5" pages, in grayscale.

  • Digital Art Submissions: If you prefer to scan and edit your own art, or have done your piece entirely digitally, please download this template. Fit your work to the included margins, hide the border layers, save each page as a separate file, and send them to cookevillecaf@gmail.com, including your name and the title of your comic as you would like it credited. If you would like a personal URL listed, please provide it as well (please give a full web address, not just a social media handle). Submissions must be sent by May 7th.

  • Physical Art Submissions: Ideally, art should be 5"x8" per page (a larger sheet of paper with active area of that size is okay) or kept at the same ratio. Image will be scanned in high resolution grayscale and formatted for print. You may turn in artwork at Mountain Top Comics in Cookeville (1683 S Jefferson Ave, Cookeville, TN 38506) during business hours. Be sure to include a note with the comic title, artist's name, contact info, and a URL if you would like one linked to your work. Art must be received before closing time on May 7th. Staff will do their best to keep artwork in original condition and return it to its creator, but cannot assume liability.

By providing a submission, you are granting the Cookeville Comic Arts Festival permission to reprint your work in the free CCAF 2024 Community Anthology and post a digital version for online reading. No fees will be charged for this publication, and no monetary profit will be made by CCAF or its organizers. All submitters retain the ownership and rights to their piece, and are welcome and encouraged to use it in any other way they see fit.
